Kwaza Mineral Art specialises in fine minerals from Brazil: agate, amethyst and other high-grade stones, chosen for colour, crystal structure and presence.
As a verified buyer I work directly with long-standing partners in the main mining areas of Rio Grande do Sul. Every stone is picked in person, so only pieces that stand out in quality, finish and authenticity make it into the collection.
What drives me is finding minerals that genuinely add something to a room: decorative statement pieces, collectible crystals and one-off natural artworks for collectors, interior designers and enthusiasts alike.
All pieces are sold through weekly Catawiki auctions, where every lot is reviewed by an independent expert before it goes live.

Origin
Our stones come from Soledade in Rio Grande do Sul — the world centre of agate and amethyst. Millions of years ago, cavities formed in the basalt of this region, where quartz crystallised layer by layer. Those layers are what you now see as the banding in an agate slice.
Kwaza Mineral Art works directly with established partners on the ground, so every shipment is traceable to its source. No anonymous wholesale, no resold batches. Each piece is checked, photographed and carefully packed in the Netherlands.

Frequently asked
Almost everything comes from Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil, with Soledade as the trading hub. That region supplies most of the world's agate and amethyst. Kwaza Mineral Art buys directly from established partners on site.
Some agate slices are dyed — a technique used for well over a century that brings out the banding in the stone. Amethyst, rock crystal and the natural agates are untreated. Every lot description states whether the piece is natural or dyed agate.
You create a free account and bid on any lot you like. Each auction runs for several days; the highest bid at closing wins. All lots are reviewed by a Catawiki expert beforehand, and payment runs through Catawiki with buyer protection.
Each piece is wrapped separately in shock-absorbing material, with extra protection around protruding parts and crystal points. Shipping is handled by DHL eCommerce with track & trace, throughout Europe.
Sales normally run through Catawiki, because buyers are protected there and every lot is expert-checked. If you are looking for something specific — a particular size, colour or type for an interior project — feel free to email. I'll see whether it can come along in a future shipment.
Dusting with a dry, soft cloth is enough. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight: amethyst and dyed agate can fade over time. Don't use cleaning products on polished surfaces.
